Retail Banking Segment Executive, Executive Vice President
Larry Franco has been in the financial services industry for the past 20 years. Larry started his career as an in-store retail banker at Wells Fargo Bank in 1997, eventually progressing to Branch Manager. Franco then held three different positions within the retail bank at JPMorgan Chase; First, as a branch manager, then as a Home Equity Market Manager for the Phoenix Retail Division where he managed a team of home equity wholesalers who supported 126 retail branches. Additionally, Franco served as a District Manager at JPMC where he led 10 retail branches and 150 Team Members prior to joining BBVA Compass in 2007.
In 2007, Franco transitioned to legacy Compass Bank as a District Retail Executive and has held various leadership roles since, including West Region Consumer Segment Executive, South and East Texas Regional Retail Executive and was most recently appointed as the Retail Banking Segment Executive. As the Retail Banking Segment Executive, Franco is responsible for the strategic, tactical, and P&L management of 650 retail branches and over 4,500 team members as well as the Small Business Banking division and the Digital Bank, ExpertDirect. Franco is also a member of the U.S. Strategy and Planning Committee for BBVA Compass.
